I’m not ‘reviewing’ these books in the professional meaning of the term. I don’t know how to do that and with these books it’s been done – many, many times.
I’m reading them and writing down what I think of them, how I feel about them as stories. It’s a chronicle of my relationship with these books; the journey of reading them.
Because of the fame of the books on this list I will do a little bit of research in to why & what has made these books famous, and why they have garnered a spot on this list. (If I feel like it- I add this qualifier because if I don’t like the book I’m not going to waste my time finding out more about it. I’m a busy gal)
When I can I will link to Authors Official Sites, if I can’t locate those, or they don’t exist I will likely link to Wikipedia for more information and IMDB.Com movies have been made from these books. If you have any link suggestions for the books on this list, please let me know – I’ll check them out.
For me books are sacred objects they contain, hopefully if they’re good, unique little worlds that are as precious to me as the world we live in here and now. Books, as the cliché goes, take me away and create new worlds for me to explore. I love and respect books. I don’t always like the stories contained within, but I respect them.
